I played it twice, first trying to follow the historical outcome but never getting close. Never took Tobruk as Allies. Rules straightforward though Axis fuel use mechanism is slightly awkward. Components are excellent, and full campaign can be played in a long evening. It does make you wonder why they fought over all that empty desert. Allies just needed to keep Alexandria. I had good fun with the game and may return to it. Did not use optional rules.
