Great game, so much fun. Can't compare this edition to previous editions as I haven't seen them first hand, but my only complaint is these cards are very very thin. Must sleeve.
Beautiful illustrations. Well integrated theme. Straightforward rules. Thinky decisions. Plays great solo.
I've been waiting for a good racing game for a while, and this one is great. Some randomness mixed in with strategy and timing is awesome. The use of "bot" racers is well done and challenging. It's a very well balanced game and using the simple rules it's quick for new players to pickup. Definitely recommended!
If you're a fan of the original Res Arcana OR if you just like dueling gamed in general this one is a solid choice.
While it’s convenient to have everything laid out on the mat without the need for overlays or an extra board, the quality could have been better—especially given the number of small icons that require clarity. In terms of convenience, playmats already have a slight disadvantage due to storage difficulties, which can be frustrating. All things considered, I probably would have preferred sticking with the original boards, but since I bought it, I use it.
