If you're a fan of the original Res Arcana OR if you just like dueling gamed in general this one is a solid choice.
While it’s convenient to have everything laid out on the mat without the need for overlays or an extra board, the quality could have been better—especially given the number of small icons that require clarity. In terms of convenience, playmats already have a slight disadvantage due to storage difficulties, which can be frustrating. All things considered, I probably would have preferred sticking with the original boards, but since I bought it, I use it.
Excellent components, lots of player interaction (some can be seen as negative, but can be anticipated), and creates pretty individual scenes as it develops. Just the right length of game time - played with 2 players and 4 players and enjoy both groups!
Love Cascadia. Quick & easy to learn but just enough strategy to keep it interesting. I bought the expansion along with the base game but unfortunately, I don't feel it really adds much to the base game.
