Expansion Wild: Serengeti - Animal Specialist Mini-Expansion

WILD: Serengeti is a board game inspired by the endless plains of the Serengeti. This game combines the joy of puzzle-solving with elements of set-collection and engine-building to create a deep and unique strategic experience. The mesmerizing artwork, 3D components and detailed animeeples will guide you straight into the vivid and breathtaking wilds of the Serengeti.

In order to gain victory points, the player must complete Scene Cards by placing the animals on the Main Board in the same pattern as shown on the cards.

To achieve the pattern shown on the Scene Cards, players perform actions to either place or move animals on the Main Board. When animals are placed on the Main Board in the same pattern as displayed on the Scene Card, the scene can be completed. When completing Scene Cards the player receives ‘Icons’ or ‘Rewards’. With Rewards, players can earn points or different resources, and with Icons, gain continuous benefits throughout the game.

Beautiful but..

This game have a very nice table presence and pieces are beautiful but.. our first game took forever for a beginner-intermediate game and points are very unbalanced. Unfortunately for those reasons I don't recommend it.

Set the scene before they migrate!

Good for solo play!
Simple relaxing position matching game. Instead of using coloured cubes, they chose to use animals. The theme could have been anything but they went with the African animal theme. I like it.

Despite what others say about the game being too long, it's a perfect length if played solo.

Beautiful table presence with a great theme

This is a beautiful game. The table presence is amazing and makes people stop and look. The theme is present and mechanics are sound. The game can drag because of all the options players have, therefore may cause a bit of analysis paralysis with certain players. If players dive into the theme, and play more casually, then turns are quicker and is truly a fun experience. This is one of those games that would be dreadful with 2 or 3 Meta gamers playing. Instead just enjoy moving those animals around.

Cute and fun

This is no Ark Nova, know that going in. Despite that it's a fun little game, chaotic at 4 though. The meeples are fantastic. It's maybe one round too long.
