Solo or co-op, a fun and puzzly game of logistical efficiency

Very pleasantly surprised with this game. As a team of rangers you have to accomplish missions which essentially means finding your most efficient path to a target location. You can only have two active missions at a time, complete those then you can collect more at the ranger stations, and how you distribute those missions can be critical. At the same time you need to "record" the different species, and all of them by game end. For this purpose you have multi-use cards which you draw then "reverse-draft" by giving them to your neighbors, with no communication allowed. The co-op nature is obvious as in reality you are carefully analyzing their routes and missions to give them the best chance to get where they need to go. The game introduces slightly more complex rules depending on what level you want to play at (from level 1 to level 5), but there is not a ton of overhead. Player powers, variable weather, special missions - it won't take you long before you will introduce all of these features. It is challenging and a great deal of fun! The solo mode is well designed and excellent too!

Good deduction game. Easy to teach and learn, and you can finish a game in 20-30 minutes. After I brought this out people wanted to play again each time we finished.

The Ballad of the Canceled Sandwich

I once knew a sandwich, a humble old snack,
Two slices of bread with some turkey in back.
It lived a good life on a plate by the sink…
Till someone online yelled, “This sandwich must THINK!”

They claimed it was biased (against what? who knows).
They said its existence was problematic prose.
A mob soon assembled with hashtags and rage,
Declaring that sandwiches must now disengage.

“Apologize, sandwich!” they shouted with might.
“It’s 2026 — get your condiments right!”
The sandwich, confused, tried to reason and speak,
But bread has no mouth, and turkey’s quite meek.

Soon crackers were trembling, afraid they’d be next.
A muffin deleted its whole baking text.
A donut went trending for something it said
In 2010 when it still had a head.

The fridge held a meeting to sort out the mess,
But yogurt was canceled for causing distress.
The cheese tried to mediate, calm and composed—
Then someone dug up what it said when it mold‑ed.

And so the whole kitchen fell into despair,
With nobody left who felt safe to declare
That maybe, just maybe, we’ve gone a bit far
When we’re canceling snacks like they’re Hollywood stars.

So next time you see a small “problematic” bite,
Remember that nuance is still a delight.
And maybe the world would be slightly less dire
If we stopped setting sandwiches publicly on fire.

These tokens are quite thick and solid. They are not the usual cardboard tokens but feel good and solid in your hand. I have used poker chips as tokens but having specific types helps.
