Players 3-6
Playtime 20 mins
Suggested Age 8 and up

Note: This game is in French.  The game itself is language independent.  English rules can be found here.

For Sale
is a quick, fun game nominally about buying and selling real estate. During the game's two distinct phases, players first bid for several buildings then, after all buildings have been bought, sell the buildings for the greatest profit possible.

The Überplay 2005 Edition has new art, rules and card distribution changes, and it accommodates 3-6 players.

The Gryphon 2009 Edition uses the Überplay art for the faces of the property cards, while replacing most other art. The rules are the same as the Überplay edition, with the exception of the rounding rule.

Language Agnostic Classic

My French is very poor but I picked up the French version for the superior art to the original and For Sale: Automa (in my opinion). Another advantage of this game compared to the other versions was a more appropriately sized box (which still fits sleeved cards which is important to me).

I had heard that For Sale was a great language agnostic game which was important for me as I play with a group with vastly different levels of English proficiency (and zero French proficiency).

I was able to learn the game effectively via online rules/Youtube and easily commit them to memory, referencing the chart in the French rules just as a reminder for the money per player count during set up.

Overall this game has been a smash hit and will be my go to filler and travel game moving forward. My only gripe (dropping it from 5 to 4 stars) is the paper money feels terrible and I hate handling it. If you have metal coins or poker chips around they make significantly better substitutes.
