Suggested Age 14 and up
Expansions Medium: Second Sight

Medium! It’s a social word game of reading your friends’ minds.

In teams of two, you and a partner will have a hand of word cards (BANJO, TROPICAL, SHORT, BIGFOOT, PICNIC, etc). You’ll each play a card, then attempt to CREATE A PSYCHIC CONNECTION together to think of the word that somehow connects them. The correct answer is whatever word your partner thinks of, so you’ll have to think alike to find it!

Together, you’ll count down: “three...two...one…” then say the same word at the same time.
And when you do, it feels perfect.

It starts with cards – YOU WILL PLAY THEM.
They lead to thoughts – YOU WILL READ THEM.
Thoughts become words – YOU WILL SAY THEM.
The connection is magical - YOU WILL FEEL IT.

Really simple to play

We have a player in our group that is a bit slower to learning board games and they were able to pick this one up right away.

Our whole group had a blast.

A Simple and Fun Game

This is a great game to play as an ice breaker or entry level game. It's fun for everyone, even the most experienced gamers.

Fun filler activity

Like other reviewers said, definitely more of an activity. Fun for a few rounds

Score or no score, this is a fun activity

This is a simple idea that can be played for points, or even as a car trip activity—in fact, it’s easy to take on the road and play it anywhere. I’ve played this over Zoom with groups of 5 and 16 and the only downside as the group gets larger is that the downtime increases proportionally and there’s greater opportunity for people to check out when they’re not involved. For the larger groups, we ended up using the chat feature in Zoom and let everyone type an answer, then on count of 3, everyone hits enter at more or less the same time. Then we count up what the most common answer is, and everyone who entered that gets points. Lots of fun!
