End of the Line is a game of post-apocalyptic family survival. Your goal is to outlast your opponents as you experience mutant attacks, dehydration, starvation and some of the worst pop culture references the end days has to offer.

In End of the Line, you experience the end times from the perspective of an everyday citizen. With your Dad, Mom, Boy, Girl and Dog your family must stand in line waiting for food, water, fuel, and ammo. Meanwhile, terrible things (played by you and your opponents) are happening trying to make collecting those resources difficult. It's worker placement gone horribly, horribly wrong.

SUMMARY - 4/5 - MUST TRY w/ *SPECIAL NOTE*

his workerplacement survival themed game is fresh meat in a stale genre.ART & DESIGNThere is an abundance of nausea green. For a cutthroat survival game in a post apocolyptic world, the color choices dont match well with the theme and make the cards look dull. The art on each card captures the card effect nicely, it's a neat way of understanding what the card is supposed to do by just looking at the art.GAMEPLAYThe rulebook explains the setup and gameplay well but there are times when you have to read ahead to understand a mechanic that was explained before. Suffer through a few rounds and you'll pick up the game easily. There is little downtime, each player is performing an action simultaneously or is responding to an action. The game is unbalanced at 3 and requires 4+ players to shine.OVERALL VALUEThere is tremendous tension and strategy in every round. The gameplay really connects as you try to keep your family alive, or try to trap rival families. You will enjoy this game if you like workerplacement or survival games with simple rules. For under $50 you are getting a lot of content and replay value. However the game suffers from balancing issues and eliminated players have nothing to do but wait (feel free to house rule this).SPECIAL NOTEA few players did not feel comfortable with the concept of killing "family" especially children and a dog. If this is you, you should not buy this game.
