Nice simple dice chucker, push your luck and dare the next player to push their luck, or they Chicken out. All ages game -- Played with spouse and 4 yr old grandson (guided).
They’re not essential in anyway, but I love the what they add to the game. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t run into many double failures during a game. It’s even rarer than a double success, and we all know we don’t see them that often.
So it doesn’t break them game by making it too easy. What it does is add an extra layer and dimension to your decision making. For example, if you’re rolling three dice and get two blanks and a partial success, there are some benefits to collecting the two tears instead of discarding two action cards.
For what it’s worth,, I think this box is totally worth it.
Great little game. It is quick and easy to play. not so hard to win. The grandkids find it easy to win but at least they are playing :)
I purchased these sleeves for Risk: 2210 and the new expansion, Frontlines. They fit the cards for the base game although I had to get rid of a few that were too small; however, a bigger problem arose when I went to sleeve the expansion, they were too small and were bending the cards despite the fact that the cards seemed exactly the same size as those from the base game. While they may fit Through the Ages and the Risk: 2210 base game, I would avoid them altogether for the Frontlines expansion.
