In Munich at the end of the 19th century, the successful new tramway needs expansion, and the two opposing players in Trambahnare competing for the contract.

To do this, in a grid marked by cards players use their cards in three different ways: as passengers on the trams, as suggested stops on new routes to be built, and as money to pay for these routes. When laying out cards for suggested stops, players need to both match colors and build them in ascending order — but they also need to bring passengers to this tram line in order to score victory points for it.

The cards resemble postcards that feature street cars in Munich and historical parts of the city.

A solid 2-player game

If you're looking for a quick-playing card game with interesting decisions, I would recommend picking this one up! I think it fell under the radar, but we found it enjoyable and dynamic. Quite a bit of positive interaction between the two players.

Under rated card game

This game plays quickly. The rules are very straight forward. Involves collecting cards by colour and number sequence, and buying a few cards. Lots of interaction between players because you have to watch and react to what your opponent is collecting. Do you buy a big card or two smaller ones? There's decisions as to whether to quickly trigger a score for a low number of points, or hold off for a bigger point score. You just need a bigger score than your opponent before the game rushes to an end.

Lots of "professional" reviews rating the game as poor to OK. However Rahdo loves it and so do I.
