I was looking for something besides my usual 40k. I wanted an immersive theme where I loved the Lore and a rank and file game that really rewarded tactical play. I found it in A Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game. It's special not just for the rank and file system on the field, but the other two layers of the game play: 1-The tactics deck that allows you to play a number of cards per turn that is unique to your faction. 2-A politics board that injects a layer of gameplay that affects the game, but doesn't overwhelm it either. Want to threaten soldiers on the field to help turn the tide of battle? Cersei can do that, for example. It may sound like a lot, but it's a fairly simple system that's intuitive to use. If you're looking for a table top miniature war-game, you'd be hard pressed to find one better than this one!

I wanted to get into an epic table top miniature game and this is the one I chose. It's got such a fluid set of rules with a CCG like feel to the faction deck and attachments and the behind the scenes political actions is the icing on the cake. I love this game.
