Agent Avenue

This is a fun quick 2 player bluff game. In the genre, probably the best out there.

Agent Avenue is a quick, two-player cat-and-mouse game where players try to catch their opponent’s pawn using set collection, bluffing, and Black Market cards that provide instant or ongoing powers.

Unfortunately, I found that the tension just isn’t there, and catching your opponent never feels as satisfying as it should. While a game can be played in just 5–10 minutes, that short playtime also means there isn’t much opportunity for things to build toward those exciting “Gotcha!” moments.

It’s a clever concept and certainly easy to get to the table, but for me, the lack of tension and payoff keeps Agent Avenue from really standing out.

Good bluffing game. Not super deep, good for non-gamers and introducing people to the hobby.

So there was a lot of hype around this game. You see it everywhere. Me and my wife played it 10 times and there really isn’t much to the game. It’s very straight forward and a little to simple for us. I think it would be okay for a travel game but even at that, you play 3-4 time (the game only take a few minutes to complete) and your probable good. Over all if someone offered I would play but I don’t feel like it’s a game I’ll hold onto.

My wife was able to learn it quickly and got played three times in a row until we were familiar with it. Still have to try the advanced side of the board to add complexity.
