It was an age of great discoveries. New and wonderful items found their ways into the hands of the greatest merchants — and if there ever was a place those traders loved, it was the town of Dale, which housed an extraordinary guild founded by the greatest merchants. The tricky part is getting the membership as only the winner of an annual trading competition would be invited to the guild.

Notable animal merchants from all over the world have gathered in the town to take part in said event. Everyone has only one goal in mind: Be celebrated as the winner of the competition and gain membership in the honorable guild.

In Dale of Merchants, players take the roles of those participating merchants learning new techniques, trading goods, and managing their stock. The player who first manages to complete their astounding merchant stall wins the game and gets access to the guild!

Nice little game

I got this game after getting Lands of Galzyr as it is from the same Universe. It’s totally different and thoroughly enjoyed this game. Now I want to get all of them.

Great Deckbuilding Game

Great little game where you can either use the powers on your cards or use the value of the card to build up your market. I would recommend you get at least two different sets so you have more animal variety.

Dale of Merchants

For years, my wife thought she didn't like deck-building games as her only experience was with Dominion. Turns out the problem wasn't deck-building as we both enjoy this one. The art is gorgeous (unlike Dominion) and the game play is a straightforward race. Highly recommended!

Fun small deck builder

Dale of Merchants is a fun small deck builder that plays well with 2 or more (up to 4 players). It is easy to learn and teach. It features cute animal folk with different abilities and a variable market. You can vary your game by selecting different animal species for each game you play. (If you wish you can select species from the other Dale of Merchants games for greater variability but this game is complete by itself). What I especially like about this game is that it is a small box (easy to store and take with you), setup and take down are fast (no tedious filing after like some of big box deckbuilders like Dominion.) Highly recommend.
