Description

Note: Insert designed for game with external box dimensions of 22.6 x 29.0 x 7.4cm. Please take particular care as the insert is not compatible with the French edition from Matagot, which is 36.8 x 29.8 x 10.8 cm box size.

Insert compatible with Root®, and The Riverfolk, The Underworld®, The Exiles & Partisans Deck, The Vagabond Pack and Resin Clearing Markers. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The insert is arranged in three layers.

This product consists of a flat-pack of 4 Evacore sheets. The trays require assembly, which is quick and fun, using ordinary PVA glue. Detailed instructions are included in the package.

FS-ROOT

Fun to put together, and works exactly how I need it to. 3 downsides; the player mats and board don't fit in the box anymore. The pieces don't hold their shape super well, so I taped the corners. The folded space is designed for a bunch of expansions I didn't own yet, so I had to buy them. Less of a downside and more like "poor impulse control" so I won't hold that against it.

No room for any boards

It should be noted that this insert is great but there isn't room in the box for player boards or the main board. Odd choice

The definitive version of Dune: Imperium

Dune: Imperium rightfully skyrocketted in popularity, and with one or two of the expansions (Ix or Immortality) really was a fantastic game: (Deck-building, worker placement, resource management, "area control" (through the end of round combat where you compete for the round's reward) all blended into one).

Dune: Imperium - Uprising is basically Dune: Imperium 2.0. The changes were made with the previous games in mind, and it feels like this is the version you want to get if you don't own any of the others.

If you already own D:I (original), just get Ix or Immortality (both and the game starts to feel a bit bloated). I don't think the expansions are needed for Uprising. People love the game, and they'll keep pumping them out ala Root (and now, they also have D:I Bloodlines expansion coming out -- it's a bit too much for me)... but if you wanted Dune: Imperium, Uprising is all you need -- it's a bit heavier than the original, but it really feels like the best version of the game (if only by just a little bit by virtue of the designers having the original game to polish just a bit more).
